You’ll need a few items of your own (like cabbage, which is not included in this kit) and a taste for whimsy. The included chemicals sound scarier than they are--all are naturally-occuring and safe for kids to use as instructed. The kit contains magic color crystals, calcium acetate, citric acid, sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, cups, stirrers, plastic bags, and pipet. Suitable for ages 8 and up with adult supervision.
